Requirements and skills:

Role
Overseeing and executing all the assembling and battery production associated activities.
Responsibilities
In complete charge of the battery production process, responsible for safe conduct of production as per HSEQ standards, rules and regulations. Also responsible for any other jobs assigned.
• Ensure Safe and Smooth process execution during assembly, adhesive dispensing, electrical interconnects, battery testing, etc.
• Ensure a steady supply of resources like, personnel and materials for the electrodes, electrolytes, insulations, coolants, structural components, etc.
• Device suitable plans for production ramp-up ensuring target compliance
• Drive and take ownership for the tests conducted for assessing the quality & performance of batteries
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety norms by setting up standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Oversee and guide maintenance of the facilities.
• Drive design and optimization of production plans and layouts as per program targets ensuring high overall efficiency of production.
Skills
• Thorough knowledge of design and processes for Lead-Acid Gel batteries
• Strong understanding of battery safety standards and procedures
• Experience with optimization of production process by tracking metrics like efficiency, quality, throughput, safety and cost
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Experience in understanding and generating insights from data
• Knowledge of electrochemistry systems is helpful
Education And Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Additional qualifications with exposure to Lead-Acid Gel battery is a plus
• 10 years experience in a relevant battery design and plant management position
Background
• Experienced with designing and manufacturing Lead-Acid Gel batteries
• Knowledge of battery performance and testing methods
• Experience with setting up greenfield plant is a plus

• Ensure cost effective and Safe operation of the unit.
• Suggest suitable plans for production ramp-up ensuring target compliance
• Conduct tests for assessing the quality & performance of batteries

Skills
